Kibbutz Karmia’s solar project is one of the largest projects that produce clean energy in the Gaza envelope. It was built on a single land area with a two-way connection.
In the Karmia area, solar modules have also been installed on different areas of the kibbutz, such as chicken coops, a barn, and public buildings. Those facilities were built within the framework of tariff, net meter, and land regulations, and they guarantee a 25-year fixed income for the kibbutz.
